Music Play @ Toy Library

Join us for a collaborative program with Cape Cod Symphony’s Education Department musicians for a sampling of music play experiences!

Su D'Ambrosio, Creative Seeds

This music class for students ages 0-4 with a caregiver features songs, stories, and activities designed to plant the seeds of basic music competence. Young children learn by doing and experiencing concepts in their body, and this is especially true for music. By actively singing, dancing, playing instruments, and participating in the creative process, students achieve true understanding and mastery, and the creative seeds are planted and nurtured for growth and development. In this class, you will connect with your child and learn how to incorporate music and movement activities at home. Activities are modified for infants and toddlers.

Dawna Hammers, Cape Symphony Singers

Learn how to sing on pitch and in harmony, breath, relax & expand your vocal range, ear training and dynamics abilities while singing beautiful, fun songs and rounds of various styles in preparation for a special holiday presentation bringing joy to yourself and others!

Brad Conant, Percussion Explorers

In Percussion Explorers, students will explore different percussion instruments and learn about rhythm, patterns, and dynamics through play and exploration. Students learn basic musical skills while also learning to be part of a musical community and having fun!
